To live your life with purpose, you need a set of daily habits to keep you grounded and enable you to stay calm even during tough times. 

These daily habits are something that is always there to support you and assure you that you are staying on the right track. 

Today I’ll be sharing my 5 favorite habits you should implement into your daily routine - they are truly something I live by. 

 

1. Quiet time in the morning

Life seems to happen so fast the moment you wake up. Your family needs you, your to do’s are waiting, and your phone is calling your name. It’s really hard not to get swept up by all of these things. That is, until you realize that the most important thing in the morning is to give yourself space, because the world will still be there after those 30 minutes you took for yourself.

 

2. Journal, manifest, mediate

This is the perfect time of day to get your thoughts and worries out of your head and onto paper (digital paper in my case). You can journal, manifest, or just sit and meditate. Even 5 minutes will make a huge difference because you are taking control and setting the tone of the day.

 

3. Plan your day

Take time to go over and revize your daily plan if necessary. You can do this in the morning or at night before you go to bed, which is my preferred time. It helps me wake up focused and less easily distracted because I know exactly what I need to do to reach my goals.

 

4. Move your body

I’m sure you’re saying: “Well, duh”. But really, it’s incredibly important to get your dose of daily activity every single day. It can be anything from taking a walk to playing your favorite sport. Make it something you like so that you will stick with it. Taking care of your body by exercising will ensure you have a healthy mind that’s capable of living the most enjoyable life.

 

5. Dedicate time for focused work

Each day set out a clear block of time for focused work or study sessions. I recommend using the time blocking technique to do this. This will be your time with zero distractions, so make sure that your phone is on airplane mode. By scheduling focus time, you will allow yourself to deeply understand the material you’re studying or get into flow when working on a project. 

 

All of these habits are simple to implement and they will help you become your best self, so I truly hope you give them a go!
